ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hello there,
You can call me Ness! Based in Ontario, Canada, I am a hard of hearing mum, to my two gremlins. They are my largest motivation and inspiration to work as a freelance artist. Working from home with them, allows me to not miss any milestones in their lives.

Hobbies include but not limited to: gardening, punk rock shows, sitting by a body of water with a coffee in hand.
While having painted all my life without much formal instruction, I did learn some incredible tips during my time at Sheridan College (Oakville).

My love for illustration markers came from college. I enjoy the control I have over the medium and how quickly I can color with it.

Continual practice and the personal desire to see myself grow as an artist, keeps me motivated. As a member of my hometown's art council, it keeps me a part of the community and up to date.
Mural painting was the first service I offered professionally. I've been painting private home walls, hospital rec rooms and business windows for 20+ years.

I like to work on my own schedule and I love to work with many forms of art. I consider myself blessed with all the opportunities I've had to better my knowledge regarding sculpting, painting and fine art illustration.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Creating art is like standing still in a moment of time.
I am aware of life moving around me, the cat is chasing a fly, the kids are running in and out of the house with their friends.
But for now I am not part of that world. Not while I'm creating something. I drift in between the physical "here" and the mental "there".

Emotions drive my passion to create art. The color choices are intuitively picked, during the whirlwind frenzy that it is when bringing something to life.
The end result is vibrant colors and a visual intensity that people feel inspired by.
